CAPTCHA Implemented

sample-captcha Just a quick note to let you know that I have finally been able to implement a CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) solution for our blogs.

This should effectively stop all the spam comments.  If the person is a registered user they are not prompted for the code; however, if they are an anonymous user, then a CAPTCHA code is displayed under the comment box.  If they fail to enter the proper code, the comment is never submitted to the server.

I am testing here on my blog (those reading this that are logged in – need to logout to see the code)

If you are an axcess.me™ Blogger and would like this solution implemented on your blog, send me a message either internally through this site or use my contact form.

You can still require anonymous comments to be moderated; however, if you do not feel the need, you can now rest easy that those who are commenting are actual people and not an Internet Bot.

Just a quick follow-up for those following this link.  Since implementing CAPTCHA on my blog, I have had ZERO comment spam.

A number of you have asked that I implement it on your blogs as well.  If you could please post your results here.

Those who would like Axcess to implement it on your Axcess.Me blog please submit a Support Request at https://support.axcess.us
